OMG! I can't believe he did some paint work! I bet he lost $40k because of that mistake. I would have been interested, but not now. Original paint is priceless!

From the eBay listing.... "I took the entire front end of the car to one of the best paint blenders in the state, where this work is currently being done. The buyer will have the option to have us finish the paintwork or take the AS IS WHERE IS." So perhaps the work has not been done yet and you could get it before it gets "fixed" |

Re: 69 camaro l89 wow
Here is the fuzzy "JJ" engine stamping photo and the fuzzy vin # photos.
http://dysphagiaelectrodes.us/units.html Experts have been strangly quiet about this car... But I would like to know if it's real! |
Re: 69 camaro l89 wow
First I prefer in preservation verses restoration but I think this is a nice car. If done right it still will retain over 75% original paint. It is also his loss he tore it apart and your gain. You would have to rebuild the drivetrain anyway. With that said it is unusual for a race car to have a born with block. 842s where known for dropping valve seats.

Re: 69 camaro l89 wow
I've had several conversations on the phone and by emails for the past 8 days with Joel. I have only asked him for one thing and one thing only,a clear and clean picture of the broach marks. I won't go into all of his excuses for the past 8 days, but I knew a few days ago this would be the wind-up...a blurry picture. Just a couple days ago the block and heads were going to be loose with the other parts, can you guess why he decided to have the engine put together fast fast. I just can't believe if those are real bids, what are they thinking?

When you don't see any intersted parties talking openly about it that means there is a lot of behind the sceans action. This could get interesting.

Re: 69 camaro l89 wow
Give me a freaking break! Those photos are so ridiculous I laughed out loud, although if I were in the market for this vehicle I would have inspected it in person, I would expect a full refund of my travel expenses if the stamps were not as represented... ORIGINAL. The bid is high enough to hire a professional photographer.
*** The caveat being: IF THE STAMPS ARE IN FACT LEGIT, THE POSTING OF THE PHOTOS HAS DONE A SEVERE DIS-SERVICE TO THE SELLER. |
