We took delivery on a U.S. market Volvo wagon back in '95 in Germany. We were constantly be "flashed" by the locals on the autobahn to TURN THOSE DARNED THINGS OFF!! Gate guards at the bases over there were none too pleased either till we figured out how to disable them! [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/blush.gif[/img]

We've been stuck w/ factory DRL systems here in Canada since 1990 model cars!.
Most but not all vehicles switch the DRL's off when you apply the E-Brake but obviously a useless feature when driving.. Last weekend we took the family Caravan to see Shrek at the Drive-In and w/ all the mosquitoes had to keep the windows closed and periodically run the A/C.. I thought twice as I set the E-Brake just one click to shut the DRL's off being auto-trans vehicle E-Brakes often seize w/ seldom use.. [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/beers.gif[/img] ~ Pete |
