Re: Legendary Auto Interiors to make new seat covers
Thanks Don. I've e-mailed Paul some pictures to show him that the car has been taken care of and enjoyed. It's been about 16 years since he owned it. So far I've contacted five previous owners including the original owner. The history and stories are neat.

Too bad legendary stuff is of poor fit and quality. If PUI made them would be better..

Re: Legendary Auto Interiors to make new seat covers
Now the thread is back on track. I always had the impression that Legendary did good work. I've never dealt with them so don't have any experience. Did have a minor stitching problem with a PUI skin a few years ago but my upholstery guy had things looking good in no time.

I have never had a problem with either fit or quality. Was your bad experience you had on your 1968 L36 M20 Biscayne factory black car/blue interior? Dan |

Re: Legendary Auto Interiors to make new seat covers
No, the interior I got for the Biscayne came from SMS.
I sold muscle car parts on a retail level for 10 years, and It was my experience that they were over priced and not that great of a fit. Granted that was about 7 years ago roughly, so maybe I'm wrong now. I have personally used PUI interiors on all of my "regular" GM restoration projects over the past 15 years, and I have yet to find any fit or quality issues with them, hence my comment. To clarify, its just been my personal experience in the past. Personally, I still would not use their product until I saw the upholstery installed on someone else's car, and spoke to the installer to see what they felt. It might make a difference in my opinion that I install my own interiors as opposed to paying a shop to put them on. A lot of the people who swear by Legendary are Mopar guys, as for a long time Legendary was the only company doing a lot of the mopar stuff. Mark |

Re: Legendary Auto Interiors to make new seat covers
-----My interior guy up here in the Port Huron area of Michigan has done a bunch of concours Meadowbrook type cars. Hes very good and loves Legendary stuff. PUI has left him cold for some reason. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif.......Bill S
