Tim,

Let me know if you make it to town. I'll buy you a beer or 2.

Nils,

Michigan is SURROUNDED by LAKES and the weather is usually pretty nice in July. Here's a website for you to check out. The best vacation spots are in Northern Michigan. There is a link at the top with "places to stay" where you can search for rentals.

Washington State, we have a green side, and the desert side,

Lake Chelan is neat, http://www.rentalprorentals.com/lake...als/search.cfm

I Play on the Columbia river about 20mi from Chelan, lots of dams along it, it slows the river way down and makes it a huge slow moving body of water to play on, great for water skiing, tubing, ski doo's etc and just drifting and having a brew as the scenery changes, the river is getting to be like palm springs, it was a secret of sorts now its getting to be big money to buy in. google check out Sun Cove, Lake Entiat Estates, and Lake Entiat., summer weather is 70's may'ish on, July/Aug hot 80/90's or more...perfect beer and bikini judging weather. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

Peace, B.

... also keep mind lots of bugs flying around where its green and warm...

I agree that bugs can be a pain. When I moved from the East coast to the West coast I couldn't believe that you could sit in a jacuzzi at 10 pm without a single mosquito dive-bombing you. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/cool.gif

Rita- I love Michigan (Mom's from Ponitac), but the last time I was there for the Dreamcruise we couldn't eat dinner in my friends backyard. We got killed by mosquito's! Constant slapping and swinging at those things! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif

Nils- where ever you choose to go, everybody here can fill you in so you can be aware and prepare.

Jason, we didn't go last year for the first time in 25 years. The boys have grown up and we got out of the beach house rotation. I'm still planning on hitting the Monterey Historic races, though.
I do miss beautiful Aptos and the drive in theater up the road.
