This shouldn't really be a problem...Reliable is not the only company to transport cars...cancel with them and hire someone else....

Agreed. Now......... an update. I spoke to a Pete at the office in MI as well as an Al in AZ. Again, I was offered excuses from the AZ office. I was left with the impression the car, location, and I suppose the job was a bother. My conversation with Pete in MI was decidedly different. I had answers, dates, and a plan that was followed by a sincere apology. I should have my car next week.

My choice for Reliable was due to a few reasons.
1. They have a huge fleet. It was my opinion this would reduce my delivery time.
2. They advertised well. By supporting the site, as well as their presence during the auctions, I felt they were a cut above the rest. Furthermore, I had good references. Both from the site as well as some of the local guys that are in my circle of buddies.
3. They were reasonable. The price was a little more tha 20% less than some other carriers I inquired with. As mentioned before, price is not everything.

Re: Great Service

I just went through a shipping quote process via internet search and deliberate (I knew the names I wanted to check with). I was - surprised - to find a DIFFERENT Reliable named company. When they called to followup on their quote, I thought they were the orange truck Reliable Transportation, they were not ... .

The REAL Reliable is known as "Reliable Carriers, Inc"

800-833-7411

they have 4 terminals: MI, CA, AZ and FL

they are a sponsor of this site and the ones I have worked with since the early 80's

I was confused when I was sorting through the calls and the results as the OTHER one is called "Reliable Auto Transport" their number is (800) 689-6498, their local number is (417) 257-2402

Just a heads up on the names of various companies

(FYI, the REAL guys came in 25% ABOVE most of the others, I chose to use a local that has been hauling for decades, Gary Boyse, he has a 3 car rig and I had 3 Camaros to be picked up in Monrovia)

Re: Great Service

Another great experience with Reliable Carriers. I shopped around and they again had the lowest price by 20% over Intercity, Horseless & Passport. Great service at affordable prices.

Re: Great Service

I found that too. But, the price was overshadowed by service that took 6 weeks with a lot of complaining and phone calls on my part.

Sorry to hear about the experience you had. I was just stating my recent experience I had this week with Reliable. They agin went above and beyond my expectations. This is a very low mileage survivor car and knowing Reliable was delivering the car put my mind at ease. For you Chi town guys its a Dick Fencl Chevrolet car.

The car is a 1969 rs/ss white, black deluxe loaded with options. 15k miles with orig belts hoses tires a time capsule. I will have a write up shortly in members rides.

anticipating Great Service

I am anticipating great service. Shipping from the middle of nowhere, Doniphan, MO. I only choose Reliable because they are a sponsor of this site, even though they cost a bit more and offered no sYc member discount.
