Gm had 3 suppliers for antennas in 69 2 of those companies had the groove at the top of the mast and 1 company I think it was autronics DID NOT have the groove at the top of the mast, believe me I have done some research on this, so it is acceptable to have either with or without groove at the top of the mast in my opinion. and yes you are correct Dru. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

Can anyone confirm if Adell Mfg.was one of the suppliers of these antennas?

Can't speak to Impala, but Camaro definitely was not screw-in type in 69.

Thats not the only thing in your hand Doug... There was three main suppliers for antenna's on all GM models were Ward, Tenna and Autronics. I dont know which one made the smooth one but two of them made it with the groove. Mark
