Looks like Marina Blue, black top, not an RS, no wheelwell trim or pinstripe. Dog dish caps would indicate body color wheels 'from the factory.' I think I see traces of the black nose stripe and the small SS emblems don't seem to be there--maybe knocked-off in the wreck. If it had black pinstripes then it should have wheelwell trim too, at least as far as 'from the factory' is concerned.

Leach was kind enough to send me the shots via e-mail and I am temporarily hosting them resized on my website. Over the years I have found that even early wreck photos can help us learn a little more of what is correct on these cars.

In this case all I can say is the greatest thing that can be learned is to <font color="red"> <u> use good judgment </u> </font> no matter the age of the car. This is indeed one of the worst wreck shots I have seen in quite a while. We all even though very late should feel a bit of the pain that the families involved have gone through and wish them the best.
