Re: market value of 69 ZL1
"Didn't I recently see that you bought a 67 Z that you are restoring?? and aren't you building a LS-9 pro tour Camaro??"
That and restoring a Hemi Challenger is why I have no dough. |
Re: market value of 69 ZL1
Then unload that 70 Z to me,before Dodge restorers raise their hourly this summer..

Re: market value of 69 ZL1
Charley, trade the 57 chevy jet car for the ZL-1. Roger

Re: market value of 69 ZL1
The yellow one can be had for 800K. Pretty cool being a M22 and one of two yellow ones built.

Re: market value of 69 ZL1
The RS survivor ZL-1 has been quietly offered to all the high end collectors who would be prospective buyers as Charley said for an asking price of 1.2 million. However it has been almost one year and no one has agreed to pay that price so in my humble opinion I don't think that is the current market price?? I think the market price is closer to what was paid last year given we are in the great recession and perhaps heading into a minimal depression?
If that yellow ZL-1 Charley is referring to is Dave's old car it is a great, great car. I could care less if it doesn't have the original engine. All that means is it can be driven and enjoyed. Fantastic resto and rare color. Probably well worth close to the asking price. Surprised it can be bought so quickly after being purchased? Charley's HEMI Challenger is a one of one car. Only one on planet with TA hood if I am not mistaken? That doesn't change the fact that........ https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...arleySucks.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...arleySucks.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...arleySucks.gif |
Re: market value of 69 ZL1
I never realized that there are only 2 Daytona Yellow '69 ZL-1's and both happened to be M-22 cars that survived. Kinds cool fact. I know that LeMans Blue '69 ZL-1 RS car gets talked about a lot, but the one that really does it for me is the #3 Daytona Yellow Berger car. That car being a double COPO, Berger heritage, great color, M-22, spoiler'ed and rally'ed up and mostly original is just awe-inspiring to even stand next to. Not a real big fan of '69 Camaro's, but to me at least, that car is the ultimate SUPERCAR.

Re: market value of 69 ZL1
What I had heard on the 1.2 mil price was it had payment conditions that nobody is interested in meeting. Not so much the price but the conditions.

Re: market value of 69 ZL1
IMO, you guys are forgetting *the* gem of the ZL-1 Camaro world...value-wise, who can top an original owner, with original drivetrain/metal/etc, with some pretty tasty national race history? And the thing can run low-10s in it's sleep...who could put a price on that! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/worship.gif

Re: market value of 69 ZL1
Yes the # 15 car of Barnharts is right at the top but it is not one that should change hands. It should stay with him till he is sick of it and gives it to me...
|
Re: market value of 69 ZL1
Mr. Barnhart HIMSELF is the greatest feature of his particular car and it would truly be a crime to separate him from that car. I NEVER wanna see that happen. The car is cool and all but it is just a cold piece of metal that can't talk and tell old racing stories like the old man can!
