Reach in the cowl area and feel underneath the partial VIN stamp. If you don't feel anything obvious, check with a mirror to look for any tampering. It's something I always do. Only one time have I felt the weld stitching (top looked fine under paint), and it'll startle you for a sec.
It doesn't really make sense to splice a hidden to not have it match the dash plate VIN, but who knows. Something to check at least. |

yes i have checked with a mirror,i also had same idea.and no it doesn't make much sense to spilce a non match vin

i double checked mine today 10B date 9L503823 stamped correctly on cowl who knows what they did on assembly line someone may have done it on purpose for kicks
