Re: Another Great.... Don Stowers story!
WOW,
Amazing! I was 9 years old in 68. I remember a friend down the street who's brother had a 69. We used to ride in it to the drive in movies on occasion (in retrospect his mom most likely made him take us). I dont think we have had the opportunity to shake hands, thanks Don for your service. From a guy who was just a snot nosed kid at the time I sure appreciate your sacrifice for me and the rest of us. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/flag.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/flag.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/flag.gif |

Re: Another Great.... Don Stowers story!
Thanks to all for your great comments. And Dan thanks for posting.
Darren, I didn't hear about Yenko's for another 12 years. Richie, I'm still young and Mark you "got it". That car was traded in on a 70 Impala 350, Auto, with A/C within a year. With a wife and two kids it just wouldn't work. Next venture into toys was 1983, 70 SS 396 Chevelle. And the rest is history. Happy Thanksgiving to all. Don |
