Re: 1965 Z16 with its Original Engine
I know this car very well as I was the second owner.I purchased it from the original owner.Had I known what I know today I would have never restored this car.It is one of only a few Z16s known with all original sheetmetal and drivetrain. It would be very hard to find a better example.

Re: 1965 Z16 with its Original Engine
Real nice all over. Why would the plant stamp one number with a gang stamp, and the vin by hand??

Two different "factories". Many early big blocks are stamped this way.

Re: 1965 Z16 with its Original Engine
Finding a Z16 with ALL its original drivetrain is no easy task. The pad on this car serves as a reference and benchmark for correct and accurate Z16 Pad Stamps.
This car was purchased in "Original" Condition and from the "Original" Owner. I would not have restored this car. It was that Nice and original, prior to the resto! This Z16 was not put together with eBay/repro parts. Many of the Z16s components are also original to this car. All of the Sheet Metal is also original to this Car!! This is a very Special Car and priced to sell in todays Market. |
