Chuck, From what i can remember they were basically had a silver bare metal look and they were not sprayed at all with the Cast Blast and i know on his website he has some after pics from the reskinning process.

Yes I plan on photographing and documenting the process as well as posting it here soon as I get some time. Hopefully in the coming week I can start a thread. Right now working a lot of overtime which is good, because I need $$ for parts, but leaves little to no time for working on the car. Currently I am going backward, removed the front clip, eng/trans in order to correct some minor issues. Of course the further I get into it the more "issues" that pop up. Now I have to strip and repaint some of the firewall, too many runs even for that "factory correct" look. My plan is to not go with the "overspray" look, I appreciate it but it's not for me, especially since the paintjob is already done without "overspray." Another question, will any of the above processes compromise the threads for the smog system?

Just the basics for now until I talk to the original owner.
Phoenix car from day one, supposedly sat on a lot for nearly a year and bought to race. Number two owner should be out of prison by now. Three owner car prior to me, 33K miles, not cut up too bad considering it was raced, few holes in the firewall, tunnel was cut up for an auto, dash was cut up some, entire car was painted black, right over the vinyl top, as well as the interior, door panels and all. Daytona Yellow, white top, white stripes (still not sure it wasn't a black stripe car, but that would have looked pretty odd) white hounds tooth, has aftermarket chambered exhaust, original engine, heads, intake, exhaust manifold, carb, 4:10 rear, M21 is not original, deteriorating buildsheet. Restoration began approx 5 years ago, eng rebuilt, car was painted, upholstery done and a lot of parts tracked down, previous owner had too many balls in the air to finish it and finally needed money, I have been after the car for about 5 years now. Thats it for now, more to follow.

They will never rust because in MY opinion they have been "flame sprayed" with ALUMINUM giving them that whitish/silverish color.......The aeresol cast blast paint cosmetically covers the new "skin" and makes them appear more natural...............
