Re: 1969 z28 crossram jl8 black
The 10D 69 Z with a V1007DZ in the garage is a 386...
010 from my experience as well... Isn't 06A too late for JL8? |
Re: 1969 z28 crossram jl8 black
Mark:
According to Alan Colvin's Chevrolet By The Numbers (which I have found is extremely reliable) the 386 Block was cast from August 68 until January 69; the 618 Block was cast from January 69 until April 69; and the 010 began production in late April or early May. The casting date of E 14 9 on this gentleman's 618 Block is a little suspect. The only thing that I can imagine is that it is actually a D 14 9 Block or it was somehow the very last one cast. Ed |
Re: 1969 z28 crossram jl8 black
I have never seen a 618 with a build date as late as V0603...

Trim tag doesn't look like mine, several things do not appear to be correct for the car!

Isn't 06A too late for JL8? [/ QUOTE ] According to Jerry MacNeish's book the JL8 brakes were offered from March 1969 until July 21 1969. |
Re: 1969 z28 crossram jl8 black
Misleading in the crossram info as well saying its orginal and not added on. Might be org GM but was added to the car

Re: 1969 z28 crossram jl8 black
The authenticity of this car could be cleared up with a better pic of the tag. It doesnt look good to me.

Oh...here's a shocker.....the listing is gone now https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...thumbsdown.gif

Re: 1969 z28 crossram jl8 black
I bet the listing is gone because he had pictures of other cars in the ad. That tag doesn't look good but it's too blurry to see well enough.
