why is there no oxidation on the intake and valve covers? If it sat outside for that long, they should be oxidized.... The valve covers on my camaro oxidized after one year of sitting outside covered up.

Sweet score indeed!

I kinda wonder, with the low miles showing, why the replaced hose clamps, battery cables, PCV hose, and spliced temp sender wire though...

The valve covers are on backwards too. Who knows, maybe it had an intake leak while it was still under warranty. Nice find though.

Valve covers usually got turned around to make it easier to add oil.

I'd like to know if that is the original dip stick. Just goes to show you how much screwing around guys did with these cars when you look at the hood of this one with only 7,500 miles. The AIR stuff had already been yanked!

The photo of the plug wire date shows the VC to be fairly oxidized... It looks as though someone just cleaned it up...

Cool find no doubt but it appears as if the buyer doesn't really understand what treasure he really holds in his hands?.
Seems more like he's trying to clarify a few things before laying the car on his restoration expert?.

Each their own to do what they please w/ their own cars and all but it'd be nice to see someone rescue the car before any further is done, break out the detailing toothbrushes and camera?.

I can't help but think of this car in running condition w/ glass replaced, cleaned & detailed sitting at a show amidst the sea of perfect restos..
Which car would you walk over to, think about later and always remember?.

There's a long thread on this car over on the Camaros.net web site. His resto guy told him, a. the rear stripes are wrong. and b. the block is a restamp, due to the different sized numbers.

Charley, Kurt, and others gave him some good advice, but that's not enough. He's a little reluctant to take the word of the experts over his resto guy. Wants the confirmation in writing... preferably blood.

Someone should just tell him his resto guy is right and offer him $500 bucks for the re-stamped block!
