Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8428/7...5f5850b0_c.jpg Ryan, do you know anything about that grabber blue Shelby? Back in 1969 my parents purchased a grabber blue / white GT500 like the one pictured (if it is a GT500). I have always wondered what happened to the car after they traded it in after 6-8 months of ownership. Most grabber blue Shelbys I see have black interior which is why this one has caught my eye. |
Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
This is a 70 Shelby GT500 that has spent most of its life in Northern Illinois. Been sitting for atleast 20 years.

Oftentimes noted as the "Driver's RV", it has a very low center of gravity and a very wide stance. Instead of lumbering down the highway, it had a manual transmission and when the turbo kicked in it zoomed down the highway. It would drive as fast as 100 MPH, and still average about 30 MPG using a BMW M21 turbo-diesel engine. Wind tunnel testing was used to create a completely smooth fiberglass exterior top and bottom.</span></span> |
