This car was sold new at Chaplin Cadillac Oldsmobile in Falmouth ME as a graduation gift from a father to his daughter who had just graduated from high school. There was a story on this car back in '13 in Muscle Car Review prior to its restoration. P. Iantosca had this car at the show.

This Sebring Yellow 70 Olds 442 W-43 is powered by 1 of 2 of these factory experimental engines. James Kryta found this special 32 valve engine 20 years ago minus one head and an intake manifold. He had the missing head and intake along with some other parts made so this could be a running engine. Once done this engine dyno'd at a conservative 560 horsepower. Scott Tiemann at Supercar Specialties completed the restoration. There was an article on this engine in one of the recent Hemmings Muscle Machines magazines.

It was sent to Pontiac Engineering to have a 421 HO engine installed and then to Royal Pontiac to have their Bobcat Package installed. It was then sent to Car & Driver for a road test. Scott Tiemann at Supercar Specialties restored this car a number of years ago for Tenny Fairchild. This car was the lead car in the Pontiac GTO Invitational Display.
