Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
Wow, the Petty junkyard behind the shop! Didn't those cars end up in a whole in the ground and under some concrete?

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
Been going by this car everyday for the past year. At first the owner told me he was going to restore it. This week he told me too many projects going on now. Not bad for a 73 year old classic. Most of the body is aluminum. It's a V-12 Lincoln 1939 I believe....https://www.yenko.net/attachments/use...5-imag0330.jpg

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
VERY COOL!
I don't know these well enough but it looks earlier than '39? Old '35 style grille and surround but in-fender headlights and newer style body, maybe '37? ~ Pete |
Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
I think it's a model K touring limo either a '39 or '38. The Model K didn't make that many changes in the last years of the the 30's and some of the '39's were sold as 40's. I believe the coach work was by Herman Braun from Buffalo. The owner told me this car was used by the daughters of William or James Packard. Back in the day this car was sweet. You can still see the drapes that came with it that were used in the rear of the car. I know it's been sitting outside for a few years....just waiting to be be restored.

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
Saw these on a recent trip to Chinle, AZ.
http://onewaystreet.smugmug.com/Vaca...DSC00177-L.jpg Seems this collector likes MOPARS, Fords, and Pontiacs http://onewaystreet.smugmug.com/Vaca...DSC00178-L.jpg http://onewaystreet.smugmug.com/Vaca...DSC00179-L.jpg A car was coming up behind me, so I had to move on. I did miss a red '69 or '70 Mustang fastback. |

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
Still lost, AFAIK. R&A thought they had it a few years back, but it turned out to be a different car as I recall.

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
The title exists for the Morrison car but the car is still MIA likely crushed after the accident
