Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
Charley;
I was looking for your Corvette-find thread a while back but couldn't find it through a search. Any chance you could link the thread (or just send it to me in a pm so as not to hijack this thread)? Thanks Eric |
Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
I saw this one today, couldn't stop so I had to take a quick pic with my phone.
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...12-07_1409.jpg It was lettered up and lowered (probably a long time ago) but it was very faded. |
Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
This one is about 20 miles west of Knoxville, TN at around 80mph.

http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...hotos/1057.jpg [/ QUOTE ] OOOH, a '40 or '41 Nash. That'd make a great daily driver, just freshen it up mechanically and leave the patina alone. |
Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
Very similar - but I believe that is a '47
It sure would make a great parts chaser! |
Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
You're right Glenn, I Googled it and it appears to be a '46 Nash 600 "Slipstream" sedan.
I want it. |
Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
Not a whole lot different than a Tucker....

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
Here's a '69 that is REALLY rotting away! The trunk lid is so rotted the top layer is laying on the back of the car. I'd say this one is a little too far gone.

Glenn, I wouldn't touch THAT Camaro with a ten foot pole! Just to let you know that I am not that ambitious.

Carpel Tunnel,
Thanks for posting those pics! Those two cars are still there! Jim |
Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
Wow How can you let a Shelby end up like that. He has got to know what it's worth. I also like that style fairlane. I would love a BVlack 69 Formal roof 428, 4 speed. And if yer gonna drink PBR drink it in a bottle it's much better !!! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...thumbsdown.gif
|
Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
The old guy who owns it is a recluse!!! He just drinks his life away. Both of his doors to his shack were cluttered with empty beer cans! A client of mine told me to offer him 45K for Shelby, and the daughter turned us down. The car is worth maybe 125K restored, so 45K was a good price for them for that car. It was unmolested, so we went high on the car. A real shame, because the car gets more rot every year it sits! The Torino CV is a very rare car in deed. The drivetrain was intact!

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
I have never seen a Camaro trunk lid so rusted that the two halves fell apart. All that rust but the bumper looks good.
|
Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
Charlie,
Yeah, very strange. I have another barn find 70 Judge 4 speed I'll post tomorrow; one I found in Ohio. The block of this Judge was buried by the owner's Dad ( a farmer) who took a tractor and buried the block when his kid got in trouble with the law. The block sat for 25 years until I found the car. |
Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
If I get over that way today, I'll try to take some more pictures of the Camaro. That was a pic from the car.

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
If that green Camaro was a COPO it would be very fixable.
