When it is ready for flight tests, regular landing wheels with rubber tires will be substituted. The article lists this as the P51A but I am thinking this is the earlier A36 Apache. Anyone else know for sure?

Rick - I'm thinking this may have been a Mustang I or Mustang II based on the British Roundels. From what I've read, there was only one A-36 built for the British and I do not see provisions for the dive brakes on the aircraft in the photo to indicate this was "the one". Would like to learn more about these photos. |
