the red 427 emblem is a 67 Impala SS 427 fender emblem

Yenko may not have had his own 68 Yenko 427 emblem yet since this car was built early in 68

the 68 Yenko 427 emblem is similar to the 67 Impala SS 427 fender emblem but is not red

Copo_Cartel 06-09-2019 04:18 PM

It is black...but can’t tell in the black and white photos.

Doug

Assuming you had your carpet cleaned. Can you tell me how you accomplished that in order to not diminish color or mess up the nap?

Thanks!

Copo_Cartel 06-13-2019 08:38 PM

Sammy ...since the car only has 7,257 original miles and was only in snowy weather a couple of times...the carpet was in near perfect condition and was taken out many years ago and stored in the attic. Frank had very little cleaning to do ...but he steamed it slightly. That way it holds it color and shape

enio45 06-13-2019 08:45 PM

Sammy - going into the dry cleaning business :-))

Good deal Doug. Yes, steam is a good recommendation. My Chevelle has red original carpet as well and is in nice condition, but I would like to take it up a notch by addressing some spots/stains here and there.

Thanks!

Lol..Ok... so take a good look at the pinch weld molding area...see the blue vinyl exposed...this is because the passenger rear door panel was originally deluxe blue material and was covered over with red deluxe material. Oops
