Re: NCRS Historical Document Services
Back in May when this Service first became available I sent my info only to be notified 2 weeks later:
No Records Found. Vin 124379N7011xx . . a late 10C build out of Virginia. Has anyone else with a Late Car had the same results ? I know they published some 600 vin sequences were unavailable but not any late ones. Roy messaged me to wait a few months and resubmit......has anybody resubmitted and the results ? |
Re: NCRS Historical Document Services
No one's run into this with their reports yet ?

Re: NCRS Historical Document Services
I just placed my order for documents related to my 1969 Corvette and received the message that they could not find anything for my VIN; that's just my luck.

Same here on a Late build Z car..Oct 69....darn. but I did talk to Roy, he suggested another try after the New Year.... |
Re: NCRS Historical Document Services
I think my car is also a late build car; maybe that has something to do with it.

Re: NCRS Historical Document Services
anyone know dealer code 391 in Zone 3?
My 69 Chevelle's production date is 6-9-69 |
Re: NCRS Historical Document Services
Jim,
Zone 3 appears to be central to eastern PA and parts of NJ. Can't find dealership 391 though. I checked Pontiac zones: Pontiac Zones/Dealerships as sometimes Chevy dealerships can be co-located, but did not see dealer "391". Good Luck! |
Re: NCRS Historical Document Services
Sam,
thanks for your reply. According to the NCRS, zone 3 is located in Indiana, Illinois, or Missouri. According to another gentleman on this site, the closest he could find is a dealer # 395 , Bill James Chevy in St. Louis, Missouri. And that was on a window sticker from 1968. |
Re: NCRS Historical Document Services
Got mine back and the order number is 2851 My 69 camaro L78 sold new in Labree Chevrolet in Northampton Mass. Anybody know this dealership??
Thanks Ken |
Re: NCRS Historical Document Services
OK,
Drew Papsun was nice enough to give me a call this evening. He thinks the name of the dealership #391 zone 3 should start with the letter J. And is in either Missouri or Illinois. Anyone have any info on a Dealership starting with the letter J in Illinois or Missouri? Would need to have been open in late 1969 model year. thanks, |
Re: NCRS Historical Document Services

Official production date was 03/31/1969 (124379N6229XX). The Z-28 was delivered to Berzal Chevrolet Inc, Catskill, New York. Dealer code 63 in zone 2. Official production date was 04/29/1969 (124379N6355XX). |
Re: NCRS Historical Document Services
I knew the Service Manager at Pape. He had a 1968 L78 Chevelle convertible 4 speed that he ordered new from there. They were into the performance cars back in the day.

Jay Chevrolet moved to the Burntmill road location in the mid 70's and went out of business in 1978. |

Re: NCRS Historical Document Services
Document Validation Service is up and running for Corvettes. It included window stickers, build sheets including tank stickers, shipper copies. Warranty Plates are not able to be validated.
|
Re: NCRS Historical Document Services
SO FOR CORVETTES THE SERVICE WILL SHOW ORIGINAL OPTIONS ON THE SHiPPER?
|
Re: NCRS Historical Document Services
Document Validation Service will verify paperwork and tie it to a specific car. If someone sends in a tank sticker and the VIN of their car it will validate that that document belongs to that VIN and it will validate the authenticity of the document. Remember, many build sheets have no VIN on them. We can tie a VIN to a readable document. Window stickers and shipper copies have VIN's on them, so the Document Validation Service will validate the paperwork.
For the owner of a rare Corvette that has a build sheet/tank sticker with no VIN, it is very helpful to confirm that that paperwork is tied to that vehicle. It will not call out options on the car. The NCRS Origin report tells you where the car was delivered and the dates involved. |
