Original Keys
1 Attachment(s)
We found the original ignition key and the original trunk key with the knockouts still intact. The code is 5181 ...I looked on the original protect O plate to see if that number was written anywhere on the POP or my Yenko dealer paperwork and could not find it hand written

Chrome
1 Attachment(s)
The chrome on the pillar post moldings came out great . Frank just got them back. It’s hard to find anyone to chrome plastic but we wanted to use the original ones. The repops fit horribly .

I recognize that voice!!
Looks great Doug.. 67 was the last year to use the chrome style pillars due to some type of federal mandates, I believe, indicating that the chrome can cause sun or light reflection to hinder the operator of the vehicle. My 67 Impala has lots of chrome moldings in the interior. Rich |
Thank you fellas. Dave McGaffee is the magic motor man !!

That car is going to be awesome!! Great job by all involved.

Ready to go

I loaded all of the remaining parts and it looks like we have a clear window with the rain. Should pull into Homer City Pennsylvania at 10 am tomorrow. John Weaver the original owner will be meeting us as always...he has been a GREAT help on the cars success and restoration...having lived and participated in the Yenko era. If all goes well we should be at the Camaro Nationals and our guest of honor ...John Weaver and his wife Robin will be on hand for any and all questions...his great memory will inspire us all ...stop by and say hello .

Love that color!!
Looks good.. Rich |
Pictures do not do this car any justice. The color, craftsmanship and attention to detail are evident in all aspects of this restoration and are second to none. It makes no sense to put these colors together on paper but yet when you do it makes for a stunning one of kind car. For those who have yet to see this car your in for a treat when you do.
|
----Very cool!!! Is that a cold air package hole I see on the firewall?......Bill S
|
Yes Bill it is a Cowl Plenum Car. And from what I gather you do not see that on the big block 67 Camaros....It is on the Yenko paperwork
|
.
This has to be one of the most significant Yenko cars to be found and restored to this high quality restoration . Great job guys :worship: ... |
Looking great!
