I can't remember for sure but believe the white fans were for low hrspower imports/econoboxes. Stick with the green or orange ones to be era correct. never saw white ones on any muscle car. The color of the blades was their rpm limts..green was rated to 8k and orange to 10k. |
Re: Day 2 parts discussion
Ah, good to know - thanks. Given the amount of NMW stuff we will have on this car, the orange version might be the one to go with.

Picked up this Doug Nash 4+1 today. The guy I got it from bought it around 1976 and installed it in his Camaro. He drag raced it until the late 80's.

Re: Day 2 parts discussion
Cool tires. A friend of mine bought a pair Mickey Thompson Challengers identical to those earlier this year. He mounted them and did a big smokey burnout! He likes them and they look good too.

Re: Day 2 parts discussion
Here is few pics of a tach my father picked up several years ago... Does anyone make the decal for the face and can for these? Still works just want to restore it..

Re: Day 2 parts discussion
Don't you dare restore that! Those Garlits Stars and Stripes Tachs are extremely rare to find in unmolested condition. It looks nicer than the vast majority of them I have seen over the years.

Re: Day 2 parts discussion
I was able to find parts for an restore the crappy little tach that was put on my 73 Camaro back in the 70's. I have no idea where it came from, but he owner back then had recipts from Motion and other speed shops.
The dashboard is a piece of mirrored acrylic from Motion that was put on the car back in about 1977. he tach is a mystery piece put on probably at the same time. When I found a spare parts tach the seller said it was supposedly removed from a 1968 Berger Camaro. Who knows. I only want to keep it for my own nostalgic reasons. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...pscc3746c4.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...0pics/tach.jpg The way it looked when I bought the car in 1989 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...einterior9.jpg |
