Thanks Chris, when I got rolling on this project I had no intentions of mentioning it on this board, it's not a Musclecar, right?? It was only at the urging of members, the Shutzbank brothers and the Dykstra brothers, among others that I began posting.

Morning guys, girls,

All those brothers and others got it right!

I too, would have urged, especially knowing of your excellent craftsmanship.

BTW,
Standard hubcap = Wife
Torque Thrust = Husband

Chris.

Bill, I like them both but I'm partial to the Torque Thrust wheels.

Love seeing all these pics Bill. Super impressive job and unreal attention to detail. I love the look of it with at ATT's also. Absolutely knock out!

What products worked the best throughout the build?

Dave,
These results would have not been possible without Evapo-Rust and NAPA Aluminum Brightener. Others, Purple Power, Simple Green, Turtle Wax chrome polish and wax, Adams Products interior detailer and glass cleaner, Easy Off oven cleaner (Heavy Duty), Presta 2 Step, Collinite 845, Wizard Spray Detailer, and others I'm not recalling right now. - Bill W

Chris, I can't claim much in the way of craftsmanship. Now, threads by Gary, (L78 Nova), and Dave, (A12 Pilot) to name a few, there is real craftsmanship!! :headbang: :worship:

TimG 02-23-2022 12:34 PM

Bill, don't put the tent on the roof, I draw the line there :-)

Jonesy 02-23-2022 04:54 PM

That tent option just looks like a bad idea alltogether. :dunno:

This wagon turned out great and it was great to see all the progress pictures. I really enjoyed this. I would put the original caps and steelies on it and drive it.
Maybe that is because I appreciate the :worship:originality :worship: of this car.
I also never thought you could get the woodgrain for these anymore and that makes it even more special.

This wagon is just awesome:beers: I just discovered this thread.. WOW! Great job preserving this beauty!!!! This will turn more heads at a show than most hot rods...

I dont know why but a woodgrain wagons have always had a spot in my heart. Too bad my wife draws the line at wagons...
