Re: Ryan Weaver's 1969 Olds Cutlass S W31 Club Coupe
Car guys be good people!!!
Dave "Northernforce" sent me an E-Mail: "Hi Ryan Hope all is well-enjoy reading your post- a few weeks back I was going to call you when I saw the rear end was going together-but I had a plumbing incident at home and spent a few days fixing it right-I had noticed no posi tag on the cover-can I make a suggestion-the tag is somewhere-safe-you will find it sometime and just laugh-be it in the glove box or in your paper records-before you put the rear end cover back on without the tag -then have to take the bolt out to put the tag on -this may cause a leak-I checked my stock and I have one NOS tag left-you can have it (just give me the other one back when you find it-if you don't find it -no big deal)-I am home this weekend if you want to drop over or I can mail it to you-but please take this tag and install before you put the cover on one last time!!!Talk to you soon!!!" Dave gave me the tag as a gift so I felt bad temporarily misplacing it...... I read his E-mail and thought, hmm glove box........ which is in my cupboard....... YUP!!!! Thanks Dave!! Added these flex hose brackets tonight, they say LH and RH and look right compared to the manuals....
I am not tightening all the lock nuts up till I have it all figured out. Ryan https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...1-img_5382.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...3-img_5386.jpg |

Open and unwrap the gas tank when you are the Napa store - check the tank for any dents. I had two different occasions were two tanks had two very small dents, they obviously replaced the Tank. </div></div> great advice! |

More progress:-)
Is spending money progress? I picked up my Spectra tank (no dents:-), Spectra sending unit, and Spectra fuel pump, plus black RTV:-) I also ordered my SMS headliner and material to repair the drivers side door panel. I stopped in and checked on the body at the igloo, looks great, lots of patina!!!! I am very excited about these wonderful parts but feel a little guilty:-( A little something for Daddy is ok too:-) Ryan |

Did you ask for material to do the sun visors too?

Dan </div></div> Thanks for the reminder. I don't want to touch my visors as they are mint but they may stand out as original/old after replacing the headliner. I will ask for the material either way. Now you jogged my memory, a while back you mentioned to get sail panel material as well? Or do the sail panels come as part of the headliner? Let me guess additional cost:-) Ryan |

Re: Ryan Weaver's 1969 Olds Cutlass S W31 Club Coupe
I sent them a request for quote for the visor material, sail panel material, and the rear deck material.
Cant wait for the bill:-) Ryan |
Re: Ryan Weaver's 1969 Olds Cutlass S W31 Club Coupe
sail panel material is included with the headliner...one of the few items from SMS that were actually delivered as promised!
