Re: Judges
That black convert is nice , It has 70 tailights lenses, 71's should have ribs that are out lined in silver
|
Re: Judges
My dad said that there was a 71 Judge Convertable at a car show this past weekend in Hendersonville NC the car was from Easley SC and is Lime Green. Anyone know if it is real or ever heard about it?
|
Re: Judges
Does anybody have information about the very first 69 Judge?
|
Re: Judges
i know this is a judge thread, but i had a question for the t-37 guys.its a long shot but anybody on here from arizona remeber a all original brown or bronze 455 t or gt-37 with a white painted roof, post car,4spd,had flowery inserts in the bench seats.car was last seen in tempe az in 87-88 in storage at a gas station.just curious if this car has turned up anywhere.car was way cool.great website by the way.
|
Re: Judges
I remember a car similar featured in a magazine some time ago, if I can find it tonight I'll post it for you. May not be the one, but you never know.
|
Re: Judges
Sounds like Dan Jensen's 1971 T-37. Dan's is an automatic 455H.O. Canyon Copper with white painted top.
|
Re: Judges
And, Dan's T-37 has the optional stripes but is not a GT.
|
Re: Judges
I just met a guy through a friend and he claims that he has the very first 69 Judge built. My friend is going to take me to go look at it.Any suggestions on what to look for to see if its the #1 car?
|
Re: Judges
Not sure how you would know.
About the only thing I can say, it should not have the glove box emblem to be in the first few. |
Re: Judges
Very early or first of cars , were usually tagged for show. My old 71 Judge was the first 71 Judge produced and right on the broadcast sheet it stated "Attn: B Phelan, tag for Detroit Atlantic City show" The vin sequence was also very low. Wish I had that one back, Colin, tell the guy who bought it to sell it back to me https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif
|
Re: Judges
I know a guy that has car #100105. Is that lower than yours?
|
Re: Judges
So the numbers at the end of the vin should be low numbers for it to be one of the first cars coming out of the factory?
|
Re: Judges
Well, I think it's impossible to tell what's the first without going through the invoices. But his car is the 105th car out of the line. Were there any Judges before?
|
Re: Judges
Take some pictures, get the VIN then post them in here. Get a shot of the dash and the rear lower quarters, and will try to help.
|
Re: Judges
Hi Diego, you wrote up the HPP article on my old 71 Judge in the early 90's and yes my old 71 's vin was lower. It was then in Pontiac Enthusiast in 2003. I will scan the articles and post. That's a car I wish I never sold.
|
Re: Judges
Ya, I know but I didn't know what number your car was. The issue is still in storage. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/frown.gif
|
Re: Judges
False alarm:I check out the car and it does have the glove box emblem and the vin is a high number.Sorry I dont have a digital camara right now so I couldnt take pictures.

|
Re: Judges
Thanks, I appreciate that. Yes, I did about 95% of it myself. I have about 1500 hours in it. I am glad it was a good car to begin with. Still took awhile.
|
Re: Judges

Two years, 1 month. I have a hectic full time job so I did it all on the weekends and vacation time. I figured I only missed about 4 weekends in that that two years that I didnt touch it at all. I was so ready to be done with it. This restoration was on the heels of my 70 W30 restoration that took 2 years. I am taking a break for awhile before I start another one.
|
Re: Judges
What about showing a before you started picture of the Judge? It is a very nice car now, I like to see that start points too.
|
Re: Judges
Thats impressive my hats off great job.

Re: Judges
Thats a nice 442 how many muscle cars do you own?
|
Re: Judges
I own a few. I have had most of these for years. 70 Judge convt, 70 Judge hardtop RAIV 4 speed, 70 442 W-30 hardtop, 71 442 Convt, 67 Hemi GTX 4 speed. I am still stinging from the Daytona yellow 69 Yenko that I delayed acting on and missed about 8 years ago. My buddy reminds me all the time about it.

Re: Judges
That a nice little collection you have.I wish I could own 5 cars like that I had a hard enough time just buying one.

Re: Judges
These pictures look old what year did you take the pictures?
|
Re: Judges
Probably the early 80's, noway to know for sure. My friend that took them can't remember for sure. I raced out there in the late 70's early 80's and remembered seeing the Black Magic car, that is why I have the pictures. Ask my friend for one of Black Magic and got the other two.
