Lot of nice car guys in that area of my state. They tell me that Chevelles were a popular car and Brewers was the dealer to get your High PO car.

#191 This is B357868 and was purchased new at V.V. Cooke in Louisville KY. It was wrecked early in it's life and stored in the original owners garage until it was purchased and restored by Rick Nelson in '18. This car has 19K miles and still has it's original engine and rear. Ann Hartweg had it in the Day 2 Display at MCACN in '19 where in won the Emerald Chevrolet award. This is one of the nicest restored Yenko Chevelles that I've seen.

#192 This is N459685 and it was sold new at Roger Budd Chevrolet in Valdosta GA to Tommie West. It is 1 of at least 8 Yenkos built in '68 that is a Matador Red RS/SS with a black vinyl top. According to the auction writeup this car was "Just out of Restoration" and still has it's original transplant block. It had a fresh paint job and looked better than it did at Mecum Kissimmee '18 when Gary Holub had it, but it didn't appear to be a top notch restoration. It was bid to $250K at Mecum Indy in '21.

#196 This is N184972 and YS601 and is one of the early Yenko Stompers that was built from an SS350 car. There are four Stompers listed in the registry, but at far as I know only this car and YS604 are known to still exist. They are both 02E cars. Once the big blocks came out Don started using those and numbered them beginning with YS701. They are all 05C and later cars. This car was purchased new at Lou Bachrodt Chevrolet in Rockford IL by Joe Higgins Sr. This car is documented with its original POP, invoice and window sticker. It is a 15K mile car and still has its original transplant block as well. This car was featured in the September '10 issue of Muscle Car Review. At that time it was owned by the original owner's son and was unrestored with an older repaint. It was at MCACN in '12 as part of the large Yenko display that year. It has since been purchased by P. Mitchell and restored by Level One Restorations and was a Premier Unveiling at MCACN this year.

It also appeared on the cover of Super Chevy a number of years ago, but was nowhere to be found inside the magazine. M. D'Amico had it at MCACN this year.

Thanks for posting the pics, Myron. So this is the one that Brian Henderson, Joe Sweezey and I went to look at here in AZ in the original owners son's garage in Surprise? Neat to see it restored... :beers: |
Rally Sport COPO's are my favorite Camaros. This one was beautiful to see in person.

Thanks for posting Myron - your pictures help out with the registry a LOT!

Pics don’t do that Camaro justice. It looks good in the pics but is spectacular in person!
I still can’t believe it had 4 wheel drum brakes and not discs in front at least? |

This car is indeed an all original drive train and original sheet metal. I bought this car from Carl Dwiggens in the early 80s. looking back it is a shame it was restored. I sold it to Guy Rumito and Guy restored it and later when Cliff was looking for Yenkos I put him in touch with Guy. The rest is as we say history.

#208 This Daytona Yellow 69 COPO Camaro is 124379N632994. It was ordered by Ewing Chevrolet in Canton OH and dealer transferred to Earl Wagner Chevrolet in Minerva OH. The body number is right in line with several other 04C cars ordered by Ewing. This car has 3.6K miles and still has its original paint and interior. It does not have its original engine and the engine compartment appears to be restored. It is also missing its smog and original exhaust manifolds. This car was with the original owners family until '21. It sold at Mecum Indy '22 for $200K.
