Re: Next Years Power Tour Car
I got all the stainless trim back from Polishing.....After thinking about the convertible Power top pump issues (and talking to Gary)......the pump issues are probably related to an air lock in the Pump/System......and with the lines being old and hard I decided to order a complete kit that has everything new.......that should be here on Wednesday......the Rims "Should" also be here on Wednesday......It got to be a real mess in the garage so I took the day yesterday cleaning......Now I can move around a "Little"......

Re: Next Years Power Tour Car
I bought a set of 2010 Camaro exhaust manifolds to try out on the car.....test fit them today and it seems thgey were made for the car......Now.....I have a cpp 500 series steering box which is slightly smaller than a stock box.......so......if you are doing a swap like this...adjust accordingly.......picks from both sides.....
Passenger side first.... http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/DSC06186.jpg http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/DSC06187.jpg http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/DSC06188.jpg Drivers Side.....I'm gonna remove that aluminum cover from the box....It just takes up room...... http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/DSC06189.jpg http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/DSC06192.jpg http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/DSC06193.jpg http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/DSC06194.jpg http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/DSC06196.jpg |

Re: Next Years Power Tour Car
So.....After looking at those surface rusted manifolds....I decided to give them the Mike Angelo/Grady Burch treatment..... Took them down to the shop and after removing the heat shields.....I glass beaded the castings....
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/DSC06200.jpg http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/DSC06201.jpg http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/DSC06203.jpg Then you hit them with Krud Kutter which has Phosphoric Acid in it and blow dry with compressed air... http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/DSC06206.jpg http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/DSC06205.jpg Then spray them with Slip Plate...... http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/DSC06208.jpg http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/DSC06210.jpg Let them dry and they are just like Nu.............Yawk!! http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/DSC06213.jpg http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/DSC06215.jpg I did this process on the Biscayne 4 years ago and they still look like new |
