At R&S auction you automatically get a bidders pass if you consign a car with them. They do not ask for any credit info. Not sure how it works with consigners at Barret.

Well I agree on the demand and money thing but as far as big names bring cars to the table I have to disagree with the "new" BM car and 6-shooter.The BM car is a far cry from the REAL ones of the 60s and 70s as those cars were built in Baldwin By Motion.Time Machines in Hudson are just a custom resto shop like many others in the world and they were lucky to get the contract.I know a lot of guys who worked on that car and I can tell you the car without the name would have went for a lot less then 450K.A LOT less!Personally I dont see that car as a true Baldwin Motion car and I feel that its just another nice custom(Foosed up looking)car.Please no flames but this is my honest opinion. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

The name is what sells in a lot of different arenas---
As far as the Protouring design of Motion and others----I appreciate it's thinking on engineering and pushing the envelope on design, sort of like the car hobby version of factory concept cars.IMO --BUT- hopefully Motion's PhaseIV cars will satisfy our 60's appetite and what's going on at Chrsyler and Ford promise some exciting times--- maybe they'll even fix the GTO......I can dream..... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/burnout.gif

I like Steve Magnante's comment on the closing credits. He said "our job here is to point out the issues with these cars and i described these cars to the best of my knowledge and if i made any mistakes or offended anybody i appoligise". I thought that was a great comment.

Looks like they did alright this Year.
[i]"The Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction sold more than $100 million worth of vehicles during its six-day sale, which ended Sunday.

The sales total for about 1,100 collector cars and automobilia came to $100,061,670, including auction fees, the Scottsdale auction reported after the close of sales. Last year's total sales reached about $63 million.

"We grew more this year than we sold two years ago," said Craig Jackson, auction president.</u>

<u>Some other numbers reported Sunday</u>

• Six cars sold for more than $1 million, led by the 1950 Futurliner "Parade of Progress" bus that reached $4.32 million.

• 4,852 people were registered as bidders, coming from all 50 states and 14 foreign countries.

• Total line of credit for bidders exceeded $1 billion.

• Total number of women bidding: 48.
