Think this is that car? Same event (and photo credit) as previous post - 1970 NHRA US Nats.

Yes, that is Tom Burnell red white and blue 1969 Motivation Camaro not the same car as Rick Barratts Gold 69 Motivation Yenko Camaro but they did race together. Here are a few more pictures of Toms Burnell 1969.

Doug, Asked if I would post these for him. This is the last time the car will look like this. The car will be leaving Ohio on Saturday heading to Arone restoration for its complete restoration. Stay tuned many pictures to come.....

Frank is getting a great canvas to start his masterpiece of a restoration. I am happy that he does almost the entire restoration at his shop with his team.

Bruce I agree with you 100% I remember as a kid in the early 70s my dad had them on his 67 GTX I thought they were the greatest thing ever. They would look good on a day 2 car that wants to give the look of the mid to late 70s. Troy did a great job preserving this car and when he took ownership in approximately 1976 the car had somewhere around 8000 original miles on it and when I took possession it was phenomenal to see the condition that he kept it in so congratulations to Troy for doing such a great job with the car and it shows just over 21,000 original miles so all of the body panels are nice and the doors shut like a butter. Once the car is underway we hope to have Troy and his wife come out and see the progress at Frank’s shop and I would love to have them come to the unveiling when we debut the car.

By the way Bruce at some point in time I probably will be getting rid of the centerlines and hopefully sending them to a good home if somebody is interested in them for their project. They will be priced fairly especially if they are going to a good home

It's beautiful...and will only look better once Frank is done!:burnout:

Cool car. Can't wait to see the progress on this. I just read through this whole thread again. Is it being restored back it original? Does it still have it's original drivetrain? It looks like it was raced quite a bit early on, but it doesn't appear to have ever been to radical. Did it even have a roll bar? I can't really see one in any of the photos.

We have been working with previous owners to the whereabouts of the motor and transmission....and with Matt’s help and persistence have made some headway. The car retains it’s original BE dated 11-19 as I recall which is the earliest known date... this date has been found in early ZL1’s and 01B Yenkos. This car is 1 of 10 OG X66 Yenkos. The car never had a roll bar in it and the interior is beautiful.
