Since I can never leave well enough alone, I figured it was time to use a spare 010 block and build a nice solid lifter motor to pair up with the Crossram. A nasty little mouse motor built for a specific purpose. Fully machined and coated in grease for the past 10 years, I'm dropping it off in the morning to be hot tanked and washed, then the fun starts. :naughty:

Been lots of old pictures of Louis Desjardins on the Facebook pages lately. Has anyone found his old car yet? Here's a couple pics both young and old' (er). :smirk:

Took it up to Todd this morning. He'll steam wash it & remove some material from the bottom end to allow ample clearance. More stroke, more cubes, more compression and more cam is the recipe for the green machine. In the meantime, the 302 motor is being reunited with the stock top end, 403 bell and the M21 trans. It'll be 100% stock and will eventually live on the run stand as a turn key engine and trans that's ready to drop into the car at some point in the future.

Until then it's...:3gears:

I need to dig out the valve cover bolts and grommets, and I think I have original manifold bolts around here somewhere? :hmmm:

All original parts c/w heads, intake, carb and water pump dated April 69. Once fully assembled I'll add the restored smog system.

Original 9D2 distributor w/ Delco script cap. Once I button this up I'll get it back on the run stand where it will live and breath for years to come.

That they would be Sam. Glad you shared some of those.

For those who like to stay up on this project, I have updated the website with many of the details on the two engine builds and the Crossram. Check out the news page or follow this link..

Carb studs heading to Sweetgrass GB.

Recently I was put in touch with Nate at Sweet Ave Fabrication in North Dakota. He bought the dies and tooling to continue reproducing M/T Scavenger style collectors for those wanting a custom set of equal length headers. While most of the ones he's been doing have been for big blocks, he's now making a set for my mouse motor with 1-3/4" tubes and the custom made collectors to fit a F-Body SBC with power steering and a Muncie. They are built using an original front sub-frame and steering so that the headers are perfectly clearance'd to fit the car. Once completed they are sent off to Minnesota to be Ceramic coated (in orange of course). These are gonna sound cool behind the new Crossram motor with that ping pong ball sound inside the chambers.
