I've got one of those T&C transmissions that's been sitting around my shop for about 10 years with all of the parts to rebuild it. There just never seems to be enough time to work on it. I've also got a C7ME block with all of the parts to assemble it. I wish I had a nice '67-'68 Mustang fast back or a '66 Fairlane GT to put them in.

How is the engine work going? Are you going to be able to save the original block?

----Freddie,,,Theres a fairly affordable 66 Cyclone GT 4spd in the latest Hemmings. Said (I believe) solid car needing restoration......Bill S

In continuation of continuing, I continued with some more front end assembly. So when you are alone with nobody to help you, how does one mount up a freshly painted hood on a freshly painted car without getting fresh scratches in the fenders?:hmmm: Call two friends to help? Well, if your friends are anything like my friends, you abandon that whole route and do it yourself since you know there's probably a risk of more carnage if you had these "friends" help!

Luckily, I had an NOS Ford hood mounting brace handy. It's a rare item, seldom seen, and doubles for a Majorette baton should the need arise after assembly!

Original numbers block is saved, Freddie. And.... have another 68 390 out of a GT that's a little later date coded than mine as a spare. Deciding which way I want to build the engine. The intake and heads on a 390 Ford were manufactured from the same foundary that made the anchors for the Mauritania, and I think shot-peened aluminum to look like cast iron is the way to go. Still deciding......

Cheers
Dave

Yep,

Mike patented this deal a while back. Hasn't failed him yet.

Nice work Dave.
