Thanks for the Motion car updates Joe, I had it backwards also didn't know of the car existing today.
Here's a few more pics including two of Grady Bryant's Harrell powered Z16 w/ '65 Chev tow car.

I don't think this is a Z-16....it has Mailbu trim and wrong emblem placement for a Z-16

You're exactly right and looks like the 396 added to a SB car.
Here's a few Fred Goeske pics w/ both his Chevy also Dodge Haulers before his rocket car years.
First two are w/ the Chevy Hauler and balance appear to be the Dodge which sold on eBay a few years back.

Pat Foster's Red Mickey Thompson Mach 1 Funny, one of two John Buttera built incl. Danny Ongais' Blue car.
First pic is earlier, sadly this Red car was later destroyed in the fatal Gerry Schwartz NHRA Dallas '69 accident.
Both cars as page 40 post 395 also one possibly in front of the 69/70 GP in the B&W Fred Goeske pic above?:hmmm:

No, it is just a side effect of putting the new Camaro body on the existing chassis and needing the get the roll bar to clear the back window. They made a big notch ahead of the wheel opening for the tire to clear.

Do these exist near Seattle? About a dozen or more years ago there was a ramp truck and Fronty race car that came in to the Bellevue College June Ford show on top of a big rollback. The vintage tools were still scattered in the trays and it looked like the car hadn't been off the back in fifty years. Just awesome.

Another Arlen ride. Aikey was in Akron OH. Do not remember it. Bill S, ever see this car ?

olredalert 04-04-2020 03:23 PM

----Yup! Forgot all about that one. Love the backwards "K"! Don't remember the dealer, but I wasn't much for trolling dealerships other than Chevy. Do any of you Ohio guys remember Heintzleman Chevrolet just north of Medina? A fair number of hot Chevy's came thru there. Dated his daughter for awhile. She had a 65 Vette convert for a summer. It was loaded with options and had the base 250hp engine. When I drove it I swear the car slowed down when the AC was turned on!......Bill S

Schmidt Car Hauler

Hey Pete Im Bob Wagoner BWAG and the Camaro is Jersey Jeffs SS427COPO, 69 that we bought new and raced around NW Ohio. The 2 pics were taken about a week apart in 1972, the rear shot with my trusty Instamatic and the front shot with me standing next to the rig with my Dads Polaroid. I would be 22 in that shot, and I just turned 70 back in December. Wouldnt it be great to be back doing it all over again?

You guys truly were living the dream, what a world we left behind and so much for progress.
