Yup both the BM camaro and the six shooter are built by Time machines right in my home town.I seen both very personally.IMHO neither car is worth over 100K.I think there was some hanky panky going on with both bids.I agree with all its not fair how much time they spent on the BM car but others not.Very shady!

[/ QUOTE ]

Again...does ANYONE know why the 6-shooter was sold TWICE???

I mentioned to a friend I thought B-J might have to consider getting away from "no reserve" and his answer was "how can they go backwards".

Good answer...what does everyone else think?

[/ QUOTE ]

They said there was a problem with the first auction and the deal couldn't be done(probably bidder didn't have the money or backed out). So they ran it again and the interest was much lower.

There was talk among the commentators , that the list of no reserve cars was so long that even if you were selling a car with a reserve, the no reserves were given preference and they filled the list of cars to be shown.---It was a bottom line thing---But if you have people who are willing to go for it , it's money in the bank for BJ-----I think the six shooter went for a little less money the second time around.....

It's my understanding that you can't even get a bidders pass unless you have either the money or financing up front. So the deal didn't fizzle because of a 'no-money' issue.

Unless the bidder had already bought a car and didn't have any money left! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif I don't know the details, but they said there was a problem with the original auction and the deal couldn't be closed so they ran it through again. It bid over $170K the first time and I think $132K the second time.

True...but everyone has a credit limit,well maybe not everyone https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...arleySucks.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...elairSucks.gif

MBNA is the only card B-J accepts and their minimum credit line is $30K.

Possibly the 1st buyer of the 6-shooter went over his limit.
Still,the seller probably wasn't too happy about going off @ 3:30 on Sunday...and for $40K less. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif

Wow--I guess then half the auction was shady....
If you go by what you or anybody else thinks cars or property or houses or apartments are supposed to be worth---You'd better get a bigger cryin towel It's what someone is willing to pay and if you want it you put up "MO MONEY"--Simple----As far as time given to certain people or cars---------------Listen, some of these car builders and car designers are icons and I have no problem with letting them sit in the first row --They contributed to the car hobby more than you or I ever will----People are out of touch with the cost of products and services today and the large demand on them...

[/ QUOTE ]
Well I agree on the demand and money thing but as far as big names bring cars to the table I have to disagree with the "new" BM car and 6-shooter.The BM car is a far cry from the REAL ones of the 60s and 70s as those cars were built in Baldwin By Motion.Time Machines in Hudson are just a custom resto shop like many others in the world and they were lucky to get the contract.I know a lot of guys who worked on that car and I can tell you the car without the name would have went for a lot less then 450K.A LOT less!Personally I dont see that car as a true Baldwin Motion car and I feel that its just another nice custom(Foosed up looking)car. Please no flames but this is my honest opinion. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

So that's what they're calling them now, security girls! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/wink.gif

What's the story behind the Hemi Hunter 68 Mustang 428 car? Was it a dealer modified thing? It really surprised me to see that go for more than the Shelby Mustangs. I guess that would make it a supercar since they claimed 556 hp.
