Re: Field find
Wow. Can't believe this car came from Carter. I grew up in Bonham and my Dad even worked for Carter in the late 70s. I still go to Bonham every couple of weeks because I still have family there. Carter became Carter-Wood in the late 80s and moved from the old downtown location around the same time. The new location was on Center street and that is now a Dodge dealership. Carter-Wood sold out in the mid '00s and the dealer became Legacy Ridge Chevrolet, Buick, GMC. There's no GM dealer in Bonham now as they were part of the closings that happened in 2009.
My Dad would love this car if he was still here today. I wish I could tell him about it. If that car was around Bonham when new, he would have known it. I'd love to own a '69 Camaro that was sold there. Very cool! |
Re: Field find
Charley,
I've posted to Facebook to see if anyone from Bonham remembers this car and might have some information on it. I can't imagine that many Copos went through Carter so I'm sure some of my Dad's friends might remember it, if it stayed around Bonham at all. Hell, I can't believe two of them were sold there. |
Re: Field find
Great, thanks.
