Posted before but here was my daily driver while attending Vo-tech in 1980. I traded a 1971 green/green Firebird that I had recently paid $150 for when my classmate showed up at Vo-tech the morning after putting the Chevelle in the ditch after a drinking binge. He had a buddy push the car out with their pick up which in turn bent the trunk lid and tail panel. The next day he came to class hung over and still very pissed off stating he hated the car for which I replied and very jokingly that I would trade it for my Firebird. The rest is history. That's what people 'talk' about wanting, owning , building into....real ones aren't too common. $8500 is a good start. I peg it around '68-71 Judging the pic.car & the tear drop ford scoop. Am I close ?
I called my dad, he didn't remember it or know the names on it. He raced PID, Salem, Thompson , Presque Isle, etc......dad's pretty sharp minded at 78.

Car was raced by the Ellis brothers..at PID I would say the pics are early 70's though the car was originally built late 60's.Car was ;listed for $8000 but not sure what he sold it for.. a local guy bought it and he plans to have it out in the spring.I believe he is just gonna clean it up and detail it out.

I'd love to get one like that down the road and do the same, just clean it up , go through it for road ability and enjoy the preserved look instead of 'putting together' wanna be....just saying...

I was pretty sure that was PID.,..can't mistake the hill side !
