Re: Ryan Weaver's 1969 Olds Cutlass S W31 Club Coupe
Terry and I went to Waterloo to pick up the primered rims, and the frame.
Dropped off the rear lower control arm after a little metal work. I found the VIN on the frame:-) A little tough to see but i got a few good pictures:-) Had a great engine building conversation on the way back, Ramblers and Oldsmobiles are similar in a few ways..... 6 inch rods and hard to find parts. Thanks Terry!!!!! "It takes a village" Ryan https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...7-img_4775.jpg |

Double W-31 Delight today!!!! Mail Man showed up with another load of Inline Tube parts:-)
Lots of little items:-) Engine and trans mounts, hoses, u-joints, stickers, emblems, core supports, rad saddle mounts and shims, gas tank straps, exhast manifold gaskets, thermosat, and gasket, rear axle to backing plate gaskets, wheel well moulding screws, rear sway bar shims, bolts, nuts, washers, gas tank vent, clutch boot, etc, etc!! The stickers are a little premature but while I was having items shipped (might as well) Ryan https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...77-41208-4.jpg |

Re: Ryan Weaver's 1969 Olds Cutlass S W31 Club Coupe
I got the small repair rings laid out on the bare frame:-)
Measured a few hundred times, used an original frame dimensioned drawing. All the diagonal measurements look good plus or minus an eighth of an inch. Plan to try to get these welded Thursday after work........ so I can get the frame back to the media blaster. I should have shiny parts next week, on my revised schedule I need to be done the frame this month:-) Making some engine plans, in a couple weeks I will visit FJ Smith in Cayuga, we seemed to be on the same page with my goals and budget and they dyno tune everything (which is one of my main sticking points) Also inventoried all my new parts:-) one little issue but Inline will fix it up no problem:-) Last time I thought I was missing the tiny U shaped brake lines from the flex line to the wheel cylinders up front and had to force him to hold off till I could check and double check. Also somehow I bought a tire pressure sticker for a Hurst Olds with 15 inch tires, I can give it away at PSMCDR to the Polyglass Pimp:-) Ryan |

Remind me to let you in on a little secret about these Are your original gas tank straps missing? What is wrong with them? Dan |

Dan </div></div> Brake line class at NOCC, Deal The original gas tank straps looked pretty rough, I haven't tried to restore them, and this could be an item that I "over bought" When things start going back together I am trying to be as prepared as possible. Tiny things can hold me up especially being in Canada (Those parts took weeks to arrive) The originals and the new are galvanized so if my originals will shine up perfectly I will use them and sell the new parts. A few pictures from preparing last night to repair the two body mount holes second from the back of the frame on both sides.

Looking good Ryan. That frame cleaned up pretty well.
