My 1968 Z/28 ready for street racing early 80s. Still had original paint at that time. Still have it. Restored to original now..Joe

That Z/28 is cool! What powertrain were you running in the era of those photos?

I think that's when I had the 302 race motor. It was 12.5 with the 1st design service cam. Didn't like to idle real well with mufflers. Car was ordered new with 4.56 gears. That's still the same...Joe

1973 Formula

Three pictures of my 1973 Formula some time in late 1973. This is the car we factory ordered for my girlfriend (now my wife of 42 years), hence only the 350 was spec'd. Less than a year later she got a company car and sold the Formula to me. It replaced my decrepit 68 Cutlass.

These three pictures are of my high school friend's 1970 Corvette. He was too late to factory order a new 69 L-88 Corvette. So Brigance Chevrolet had him order a 1970 with the LT-1 motor. Joe Seputis (Vetteran Automotive) worked for Brigance at the time. Upon arrival from the factory, they dropped in what was the latest version of L-88. Called a "ZLX". Joey C. (my friend) drove out of the dealer with a brand new 1970 ZLX dealer built Vette. It had a 4:88 rear end I believe. Not sure which Muncie it had. I think Joey C. still owns this car. He went on to have Seputis built the motor even wilder. General Kinetics cam, tunnel ram manifold, etc. He eventually turned it into a full Custom with a lot of body mods., for the 1970's show circuit.
