Re: Another B/M Camaro
I wanted to thank the Steve Shauger, Brett Marryman, Forrest Merryman, Brett Merryman, and Bob Harris for taking the time and judging my camaro. It was a great learning experience and i appreciate you putting up with all my questions! Just a FYI, the car scored a 2484.44 out of a possible 2820.78
Not too bad for that old of a car. I have to give credit to my uncle for taking such good care of it over the years. I also wanted to say hello to all the great new people i met at the show. I am horrible at names, but everyone i met was great. I apologize to the ones i did not meet, but my family was in Hershy and Gettysburgh that week as well so had to run back and fourth each day. A 3 and 6 year old get roudy very quickly if they are not entertained! Again, it was great to meet a bunch of new friends in the hobby. |

Watch out for the Merriman kids...they are thugs in disguise.....

Re: Another B/M Camaro
Brett and I were talking about the bad influence you had on the boys. They were perfectly normal until they met you Charley.

Re: Another B/M Camaro
I've always thought Motion cars could be a bit "over-the-top" (Example: that famous Mexican Ralley Green '69 Camaro), but this black one trimmed in red is a beautiful example of a bad machine. Driving that car in 1969 had to be the equivalent of driving a Lamborghini or similar exotic today. It would take a VERY serious machine back then, short of an all drag car, to give this thing a run for it's money. I know people like to trash talk street racing, but that was the sole purpose of this car. I bet it was good to be the king with this car!

Here is the original ad in Hemmings News in 1981. Thomas Comerro of Hemmings was very helpful in tracking this down. I thought everyone would find it a little amusing in how undescriptive this was.

Re: Another B/M Camaro
My uncle ended up buying it for $8500 since that was all he had! Luckily for him and me, it was not listed as a Baldwin Motion camaro.
