The reason why the front spoiler was standard on the 1969 and 1970 Boss 302 was due to a SCCA requirement. There was no such requirement for a rear spoiler and that is why it was an option.

If you ordered the optional Rear Louvers for your 1969 Boss 302, the body colored dual racing mirrors were a required option replacing the standard driver's side chrome mirror which you will be very hard pressed to find on a 69 Boss 302. 55% of all 1969 Boss 302s were ordered with the Louvers.
