Re: Ryan Weaver's 1969 Olds Cutlass S W31 Club Coupe
This was some progress today, as I have gone from no way to weld at home to stove pulled away from the wall, power cord out the front door to the garage MIG welder making nice bacon frying sounds:-)
The body mounts are welded up and the shock holes, need to dress them up and photo shoot later or tommorrow:-) Ryan |
Re: Ryan Weaver's 1969 Olds Cutlass S W31 Club Coupe
Still have to touch up the two mount repairs today with a wheel, and carve the shock holes back to original.

PIM? One is 9.540", and one is 9.550" https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...77-39839-4.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...77-39840-3.jpg Whoot whoot!! Thanks to Terry for the welder and to Scott who came over and welded for me:-) Ryan |
Re: Ryan Weaver's 1969 Olds Cutlass S W31 Club Coupe
I discard drums is 9.590....do your drums have a "safe to" stamp on them?
If someone "banged up" your drums....it's not the place to do repeat business with Glad you had a productive day Dan |

Ryan Just curious, what is the yellow goop Mike |
Re: Ryan Weaver's 1969 Olds Cutlass S W31 Club Coupe
I used an ink pen and shaded the whole area, then clamped on the repair ring, then scribed in the yellow ink, then used a die grinder to open up to the scribe line.
The yellow is probably similar to what line workers paint daub a torqued fastener for example. Ryan |
Re: Ryan Weaver's 1969 Olds Cutlass S W31 Club Coupe
He likes colors - you should see him scribe out a circle template floor plan for MCACN
That's assuming he gets the right floor location Dan |
