ATM’s were originally thought to be failures, because the only users were prostitutes and gamblers who didn’t want to deal with tellers face to face.

The 348/409 are the only post WWII Chevy engines that were never available with a single 2BBL carb.

That fact is true. The 427 and 454 were available in a 2BBL version for trucks. The 396/2V was a 1969 only engine option for large chevrolets. Not the 348 or 409. Minimum carb was a 4BBL.

I mis-read it Lee. I thought it said they were the only ones available with a 2bbl.

And I've already had 3 cups of coffee too.............

Hmm. I didn't think having sex by yourself was that remarkable.

I have posted a number of photos like this one. This "issue" seems to happen to "rubber band" tires. Does anyone know how or why this happens?

It's the result of a band separation.

I have to believe that the low profile tires have less sidewall to cushion an impact, like a pothole, making them more susceptible.

Thanks for that clarification. What I was getting at was that the 396 was available as a 2V for passenger cars while both the 427 + 454 2V were truck engines.

Clint Eastwood was not Don Siegel’s first choice for the role of Harry Callahan in the 1971 blockbuster “Dirty Harry.” The role was offered to the likes of Frank Sinatra and John Wayne before Eastwood won the part.

Frank Sinatra I understand. He did have some credentials as Tony Rome (1967) and the follow up movie Lady In Cement (1968). John Wayne? :eek2: Remember his movie McQ (1974)
