Got it apart to the final little pieces just the piece that slides back and forth to release the door is seized, soaking over night. I don't want to break it:-)

Just got a note from Lynn, she loved the old pictures of the selling dealer.

She is still searching through old pictures and now started going through negative slides:-) from 1969 through 1975.........she only remembers one picture of the car back in the day.

I saw it was 3-27 on 2doorpost this morning, which reminded me my buddy Chuck Morse bought his 1969 Chevelle SS396 on &quot;327&quot; I sent him a Car-Birthday note which I thought was it for CBDay. When I got home I started to think about Al Stager picking up his Oldsmobile also March 1969. I looked at the docs and lo and behold:

Took in a swap meet today in Ancaster, fun to look for deals:-)

I saw some nice dog dish caps but different than the originals, on the ones at the swap meet it says Oldsmobile around the outside mine say Oldsmobile mid cap.

Stefano Bimbi from NicKey Chicago has put his touch on my project!!

I bought a set of gauges for my Cutlass at a nice &quot;introduction to Oldsmobile&quot; price:-) Stefano wants to make sure I stay a Cheerleader for the Olds group!!

The Dixco will stay close as it is part of the history of the car but I plan to make a painted &quot;plug&quot; for the hole in the hood. I think this can be done tastefully with a little thought.

Another Oldsmobile Guy has jumped in to help my project along!!

&quot;Canuck&quot; Paul Martin has sent me some 1969 Olds parts. A jack hook, 2 park lights, and some proper original hose clamps. These will be put to good use!!

Another &quot;Introduction to Oldsmobile deal&quot;!! Boy the reception into the Olds world has been with open arms...

One of the regulars on ClassicOldsmobiles has found me a used battery tray, a hold down, and the correct bolts for my car. Greg Godon restores cars and I am an avid fan of his daily build posts....currently a 1969 442 Sports Coupe:-)

I am starting to fill in a few gaps....missing items.

Dave, Ryan, nothing to report since my post in the el malo thread last February. Should be some progress now that the weather is better. Actually one thing to note. My mother in law was complaining about getting mice. So I put mouse traps in the car and in her pantry. She's never had mice in her house till El Malo arrived. Maybe they moved on. Its been over a week and not takers.

Greg Godon has got a drivers headlight door for me (mine is broken a little bit)....need the drivers grille (mine is busted up) as well.....TBD.

Messing around in the glove box and under the dash tonight. Need to repair or replace the glove box liner. A few staples and a good cleaning should return it to functional original condition.

Found a sticker that used to be stuck to the radio. Says Made in Canada, makes me think the radio was dealer installed...GM Docs don't mention the radio but it is on the BOS.

Nice.....you should see evidence of where this sticker lived on the radio.....on the side, bottom or the top of the radio. Take some adhesive and place it back in its original spot [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif[/img]

It was sitting right beside a discolored spot exactly the same size as the sticker.

Greg G. Had a couple drivers side mirrors to chose from...I chose the cheaper one:-) The perfect perfect one went on the Crimson 442 Sports Coupe he is restoring.

That car needs a perfect mirror, mine will be driven!!

Looked at the front brakes today, no luck, bled them a little but no pressure would build up.........

Drivers side is non finned and seems like it may be part of the hub, passenger side is finned and came off separate from the hub. New shoes inside:-)
