Got your next victim planned yet? Can't see ya stopping here |
Re: Next Years Power Tour Car Part 2
I agree...looks great, exhaust guy!
|
Re: Next Years Power Tour Car Part 2
I have gotten a couple of requests to hear the "Beater" run with the exhaust system.....so....here is a short video......as you can see until the engine gets tuned it's running Pig Rich!!!..........Driving down the road you can barely hear the exhaust unlike the Flowmaster that I had on the other cars......These are much better and thanks to Samhatco for the Muffler recommendation.....Click on the Picture for Video

Re: Next Years Power Tour Car Part 2
The car is on it's way to Nickey Chicago where Stefano and Cory are going to give it some good old Muscle car tuning......They are very busy there so it might be a week before I can post a video of the car on the chassis Dyno.........Gonna get interesting from this point on!!!.........

Re: Next Years Power Tour Car Part 2
Ken,
Tenneco/Walker, manufacturers of DynoMax exhaust components, is thankfully one of the few American companies one can truly rely upon for quality parts & service. I can personally attest to their integrity as I've used their 17375 cat-back system on my '95 LT1 Caprice 9C1(now 283,000 miles) since 2001. They've honored replacing their lifetime-warrantied mufflers no less than 7 times, paying shipping as well. It has been my sincere privilege having done business w/such a reputable U. S. company, these past 12 years. I believe Darlene was the very cordial associate w/whom I dealt. A more competent young lady one would be hard-pressed to encounter in today's I-could-care-less business clime. A very professional & astute PR representative of whom Tenneco/Walker should be very proud to have in their employ. '67 SS bud... |
Re: Next Years Power Tour Car Part 2
I have to ask Tau, 7 times it needed to be warrantied? I've got the same milage on my 8.0 liter truck and the stock 3.5" system is still holding up. I'm glad they stand behind their product, but if I had to do that with items I rep- I'm not sure I coild afford to rep them. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: Postsedan</div><div class="ubbcode-body">You need a good vanity plate....how about "KLSA", I just may have to pay Stefano a visit Dan </div></div> I'm thinking a slight tag mod changing that V to a W, or is that too ambitious? |
Re: Next Years Power Tour Car Part 2
----Geez,,,My war wagon (1994 Caprice LT1 wagon) still has its entire original exhaust with 140,000 on it and shows almost no signs of giving up.......Bill S

Re: Next Years Power Tour Car Part 2
Stefano and Cory at Nickey have been very busy and since I'm not really in any hurry to get the car back,.....they didn't get to it until late in the week.........Cory had to install another Bung in the exhaust system for one of the sensors that is needed for the Dyno Computer.......it would have normally gone in one of the rear O-2 sensors Bungs........Then it finally got on the Chassis Dyno but since it was late on Friday.......Cory didn't get a chance to really dial it in yet.........should be a video early next week...........

Re: Next Years Power Tour Car Part 2
Cory had a nagging issue to deal with in this pieced together system.....When he would start to get into some boost, the Computer would pull Timing out of the engine and kill the Power......Took a while to figure out that it was the Torque Management system that was killing the power........It took a while to figure out how to get in the proper area of the ECM and turn that particular table off..........Got a call from him just before he was leaving for the day and he finally got to make a pull without losing Timing.........Tomorrow seems to be the day everything gets blended together to work as a balanced system.............

Re: Next Years Power Tour Car Part 2
Man, that's just a beautiful Chevelle.
|
Re: Next Years Power Tour Car Part 2
Didn't hear anything from Cory today.........But the first quick pull yesterday with the Timing stabilized.........The car made 480 rear wheel horsepower.........So.....I can't wait to see what it will do with everything dialed in..........These engines just amaze me.......this thing idles like Grandma's car........Hope to have a video tomorrow.....
