Hello, I'm new to the group and just figuring out how to use the tools and make posts and replies so bare with me. I came across this post of your 66 L-78 car by doing a Google search. I actually am about to buy a 1 owner barn find with a L-78 4sp! The car was painted by the dealership back in 1966 Granada Hold because the original color (Chateau Slate) apparently was not selling at the time. The owner raced the color in Pennsylvania and parked it in his barn in 1982 and subsequently was killed in a tragic farming accident in Ohio. I'm being told they have all the original documents for the car and I have already verified the complete engine from carb to pan is all original. I will be sure to post photos. Nor sure if I can under this comment or not. Talk to you all soon, I should have the car by late spring as the owner is over in Afghanistan defending our freedom.

I would delete those pics. You show V.I.N. and license plate info for a car your trying to buy.

I completely agree,it's happened to me...delete that info.

Thanks for that. I guess that was a bad idea. The owner is a close friend and the deal is already locked in, but I guess sharing pwrsonal info on the internet isn't a good idea! I appreciate everyone's input. I will post more pics after I pick her up.

You will want to start a thread of your own for that car. It's going to be very interesting to watch as you move forward with this. Be careful about the information that you share until the car is actually in your name and in your possession.

Isn't it sad that this is actually something that people have to worry about?

It’s all about money. The chase, seeing how much you can make on your investment, and the happiness when your buyers check clears. People are not sending back their “free” money from the “COVID” stimulus. When to Foxwoods casino in Connecticut to celebrate my sons 22nd birthday and the place was a free for all. Mobbed with people spending their checks, looking for the big hit. My brother had a 69 l88 in 1970. He paid 4,900. Now it sells for 500,000-800,000. Wacky
