Where was that Vega snapped? Must be somewhere in Europe. There is a Opel Rekord D in the back, that was never sold in the US.

It´s a pic taken by Hasse Biörck at the very small Vårgårda airfield, not that far from Gothenburg Sweden. I believe that´s what the Vega looked like when it left the United States. They usually raced the cars in U.S. trim the first year then repainted them in the Swedish sponsors colors for the second year.
It has "Leufvéns" decals on it, which was a rather big speedshop over here. |
