Makita Grinder with a 3" Wire Brush and an Elecrtic Drill with an extension and a 1 1/2 " wire Brush on the End to get into the tight spaces......Dirty tedious work but a small section at a time and move on to the next......Rattle Can Rustolium Satin Finish.........The Semi-Gloss black is a little bit Too shiney, but the Satin comes out just right...This is about as "Mickey Mouse" as it gets, but these tools ans dedication get the job done.......I ordered all the Fuel and Brake lines from "The Right Stuff" and it's amazing how close they make their product.....open the Box and just tighten the fitting's........ https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif

Seeings how I am too busy doing everyone elses car and you seem to have mastered the big car stuff, please be on the lookout for one '69 SS427 Impala convertible headed your way that is in about the same shape as your car (minus engine) and do your stuff to it sir. If you refuse, it is going on the block.

It's looking great Ken and you don't waste a lot of time.

Me, Myself, and I.......... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif....Today I moved the car off the lift and into the other stall so I could put the Engine in (Rolled real easy without the Engine).....after I got the Engine and Trans in, I had to get it back on the lift........But ......I couldn't push it up the ramps to get it back on the lift.......I ended up going in the Trailer and getting the Tie Downs and used them to winch it up the ramp.....Winch, block the tires, and winch again......Finally got it up and took a Nap.....

Spent a lot of time today running around picking up "Stuff".......Picked up the rims from the Sand Blaster and dropped them off at the Paint shop.......Took a piece of Interior trim to the Paint store to get some paint mixed for the Inside Trim pieces...Went down by Mark Webster and picked up the Bumpers after Straightening and Plating.......didn't leave too much time for working today....But.......
This is the Fun Time.........Putting the Finishing touches on......makes it all worth while....Got the Emergency Brakes hooked up and working, put the Driveshaft in,Installed the Rear Bumper (still needs final adjusting, but I have to wait for some help), tail lights, cleaned the trunk splatter paint with WD-40 and it looks pretty good so I'll keep it the way it is,added some Engine Parts......Time for a Nap.......ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

I'm going to be down your way at the end of May and might just have to bring my camera to take shots of your garage. There is a post-it-note on the rear glass of a certain Chevrolet in there (at least rumor has it that it is in there somewhere https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/haha.gif ) as that was a classic note when I viewed it last time.

Re: Biscayne Resto Project

Classic as in it made me laugh.

Keep in mind, this was attached to the rear window glass (which was about all that was visable), "clean garage and locate car." I am going by memory but it read something like that. Very cute! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/haha.gif

I will be down there in his neck of the woods at the end of next month and will take before and after photos of his garage. We can do it DC, a little beer and a dumpster and we are in business. Last fall I went down there and helped someone else clean her garage out. It only took three days so four should about cover this one. Never know what we might find in there. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/wink.gif
