Was wondering about the re-invoiced Zl-1s?? Anyone get the NCRS report back? Do they have Gibb as the dealer? Just curious...
FWIW..my #34 ZL-1 had MSO from Govans Chev..where it was finally sold in June 1970 |

john </div></div> We are working on a re retrieval of VIN'S for all Nova's and the 69 Camaro's. I do not know that it will yield anything new but we are reprocessing them. Just so everyone knows, we have flagged every order we could not complete and will recheck them all automatically - you are welcome to ask me to recehceck your vin's individually but you do not need to, it will only slow the recheck process down. If new information is found letters will automatically be generated and mailed to those that received partial information, those that received refunds will be notified they need to reoroder if we find anything. |
Re: NCRS Historical Document Services
Got my info today and my car was sold thru Brown and Holter Motor Co in Cheney WA, however a check of the dealer code 62 in zone 42 shows Ashmore Chevrolet in Rockford WA. Interestingly I bought it out of WA but the guy before me got it from Michigan. Did a quick check and it looks like neither dealer is around. Would anyone know anything of the dealers? I'm going to put something in the wanted classifieds too and see if I can pick up any licence plate frames, dealer emblems or memorabilia. Probably a long shot but who knows?
Thanks Roy, a great service for someone who has zero documentation for their car such as me. Something is better than nothing. |

Are the NCRS dealer results gleaned from info indicating who GM billed for the car? Similar thought but different, should reports come back Yenko Canonsburg for all genuine original Yenko Camaros and Deuces regardless of which Yenko Network dealer delivered them new to the customer? If so, although Jack Douglass ordered/Yenko striped 9561 cars would be an exception, are there any legit others? ~ Pete |
Re: NCRS Historical Document Services
My Stauffer delivered Yenko came back with Yenko Canonsburg as the dealer.
|
Re: NCRS Historical Document Services
Apparently, the Yenkos went to Yenko first and then got sent to other dealers(except the douglas cars)..so therfore the Yenko NCRS data...
Still wonder about the non-Gibb ZL-1's...have to figure they have NCRS data from the newer dealers... |
Re: NCRS Historical Document Services
also my Queen city Yenko-Harrell came back Yenko Canonsburg as the dealer also

Re: NCRS Historical Document Services
Great info also nice to clarify known genuine Yenko car results are coming in as Canonsburg! Again is the info being gleaned for the reports not specifically who was billed for the car thus MSO sent to? As for the Stingers sent to Dana, you'd expect they'd come back Dana as they probably ordered it w/ Don's Copo code also were billed for it so again got the MSO? Looking forward to seeing other cool developments and avenues this great NCRS service brings to light including connecting patterns to the genuine dealer Supercars! Re: NCRS Historical Document Services
Its great that the Yenko cars show up on the NCRS records. I don't believe the Yenko cars have typically shown up on the NICB records.
|
Re: NCRS Historical Document Services
My 68 Yenko came up as Yenko but my 69 Yenko did not have the name, just dealer code 898 and zone 13.

Re: NCRS Historical Document Services
68 Yenko came back Yenko, Canonsburg, dealer code 900 zone 13
69 Yenko came back dealer code 898, zone 13 |
Re: NCRS Historical Document Services
NCRS lists both 898 and 900 as known Yenko dealer codes in Zone #13. Not sure if correct but 899 has been reported as a Yenko code too. ~ Pete |
Re: NCRS Historical Document Services
My understanding is that the dealer codes could change from year to year
or a dealer could move and it would change the dealer code. I think that is why it is important to list your GM official production date when entering info to the NCRS dealer code research. |
Re: NCRS Historical Document Services
Anyone hear of Loveland Chevrolet, North Bend WA, dealer code 293 in zone 42? My turquoise Z I've had for 20 years was sold there according to NCRS. It was a Seattle car until I bought it.

Re: NCRS Historical Document Services
Got my report today. My 69 RSZ was delivered to Harbor Chevrolet in Long Beach, CA. It is still in business! Think there is any chance they have 45 year old records?

Re: NCRS Historical Document Services
Hey Bruce...I had a 1969 Nova SS 350 from Brown & Hoeye. As far as memorbilia when I was hunting down stuff from that dealer I found they had a Decal on trunk lids and License plate frames. Their trunk lid decals were shaped like a Bowtie with rounded top and bottoms and said HONESTLY also. If he needs a couple Brown and Hoeye license plate frames that need restoring send me a PM as I do not have that Nova anymore. Kim

Re: NCRS Historical Document Services
I do...Zepelak/C&E are torn down & completely defunct today.
A new Chevy dealership was built recently & located further down the street here called Villa Park Chevrolet. It's now called Castle Chevrolet today.Has no records at all with Zepelak/C&E. |

Dana, I owned a RS/SS L78 that came from Harbor Chevrolet. I contacted them in 1999 and spoke with the Business Manager Sally Huff who had been there since the early 60's (She retired shortly after). She sent me the "New Passenger Car Sales Journal" entry for my car which referenced the VIN, trade in, selling price and saleman and owners name. I also received a Harbor license plate frame. Good luck |

Thanks for response Dan! I do do appreciate you taking time. I have a '67 Camaro that was delivered to Zepelak in Nov. of '66.
