Re: Ohio COPO Dealers
-----I used to go to Kil-Kare occasionally with an older buddie that raced a fairly new 1963 340hp Corvette navy blue 'vert. He raced it as stock but had stroked it even back then. Ran 5:13 Getz gears as well. He usually ran at 42 most of the time as it was really close to home. Wonder if anyone remembers him. His name was Jerry Ferrell. He has passed on but he owned Jerry Ferrell Motorsports in Medina for many years. In his younger days he raced anything that would move without pedals........Bill S

Rob; Sorry I did not catch your post on KK. I raced a DY 69 copo at kk back in the 70s. I can't recall his name but the orig owner was from Bellbrook. A small town about 6 mils from Xenia. I think he got it new from Langs Chevy in Xenia.

Re: Ohio COPO Dealers
https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/eek.gif I've just spent the last hour or more reading this post... wish I had been born in Ohio!
My COPO Chevelle was registered in Columbus, OH back in 1985. The car was originally dover white with black vinyl top and red bench - column shift auto. It's a long shot, but does anyone remember the car? After reading this post, I see that it won't be easy tracking the car's dealer history.... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/confused.gif |
