I was told by the father /son folks that went to look at it that the car was for sale at 225k and that the gentleman turned down 175k. The appraiser should be the one that is scrutinized IMHO. Karma does come back around. I have never bought a Chevelle ..so I was never an interested party to this car. Pointing out flipping a car for 6x it’s purchase price is worth noting ...especially with potential buyers from this site. Knowledge is a powerful thing and playing ignorant when selling parts or cars that are not as described is wrong. After the smoke clears I am sure this quality caliber car will find a good home and be well taken care of in honor of the original owner.

So what am I missing here???

Unrestored COPO Chevelle, guy buys for for $40K, turns down $175K because he wants $225K?

Know I will admit I'm not up with these unrestored cars and YES I know there only original once. But from what I saw, I didn't think it was worth the $175K?? Legendary has one:

https://www.legendarymotorcar.com/in...copo-1693.aspx

Fully restored and I figured there on the high side for COPO Chevelle being that there Legendary Motorcar, and there asking $169,9K?? I was thinking this car would be "MAYBE" in the $125K range if the paperwork was there that Sean stated could be questionable?

So what is it that makes this car SO much more?

Could be that apost is known as a clickbait site

So is this car unrestored or an older restoration in need of some TLC? I believe there are only 3 known Tuxedo Black COPO Chevelles in the registry. The black Wagner car sold for $310K at Mecum Indy in 2009. If the car has been detailed since the video was taken it would be nice to see some photos of it. It's a great find and the new owner shouldn't be run of just because he got a good deal on the car.

Yes, Sean needs to explain himself. I know who the "Potential Buyer" is because A father and son are the only people who have looked at this car and they heard about it thru their work place. It wasn't advertised for sale. The one who was interested in this car never checked any Numbers, Dates, or Codes of the car. So, Since it's said by Copo Cartel that the owner works at Marathon, Then I'll say the "Potential Buyer" has a connection with Marathon too. Sean needs to explain whats wrong with this car. As someone who has seen it a lot you don't find much better. Sean, did you ever think that the reason He couldn't verify anything is because He don't know nothing because he didn't check it out?

Explain what? I never said anything was wrong with it. You must be involved as your posts are only about this car. Your defense questions bring a lot of light to the car. I was contacted by 2 people. When I am asked not to reveal who or what I DON'T period that is respect. It is not a holy grail car to me nor have I or had any interest of buying it or was offered. Do I think it is worth 225k NO 175K NO. I own several super cars and I use guidelines on my own purchases which is a basic list of questions and verification. I have seen so many cars blown up to be the best of the best the "Holy" grail car etc and people get pumped up I get it. And there are at least 7-8 black copo chevelles as well. My thoughts are different on these cars as they hold a special place in history to me. Not about how much I can get and be a "Flipper". So to tell me that I need to explain myself this is my explanation. Explain why you are so interested and what your own conclusion is?

I believe I'm on another site with Sean. And I will say this, he has been helpful and forthright with info when I need it or had questions. So for me, having some other interactions with him, woukd listen to his words.

John
